1783	Ο αρχιστράτηγος Τζορτζ Ουάσινγκτον παραιτείται από τον Ηπειρωτικό Στρατό των Η.Π.Α.
1975	Η τρομοκρατική οργάνωση «17 Νοέμβρη» δολοφονεί τον σταθμάρχη της CIA στην Αθήνα Ρίτσαρντ Γουέλς, 45 ετών, με τρεις σφαίρες σχεδόν εξ επαφής.
