The Mavrokolymbos reservoir was completely drained on Thursday morning, while the Paphos district authority is calling for the construction of two new dams.
The reservoir was emptied with its collected 1.3 million m3 volume of rainwater being channeled into the sea, after no other solution was found by engineers dispatched to the site over the past few days.
