A crew member of a merchant ship sailing 12 nautical miles south of Cyprus has been delivered to Limassol General Hospital, according to a statement from the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC).
It added that “at around 1:45pm today, Sunday 19 January, the JRCC activated the National Search and Rescue Plan “Nearchos” for the purpose of airlifting a crew member of a merchant ship, which was sailing at a distance
