A drone carrying a suspicious package bound for the central prisons was intercepted on Thursday after being detected by the prison’s anti-drone system.
In a statement issued by the justice ministry, the system identified the drone as it approached the prison complex carrying a package.
Prison officers immediately impounded both the device and its cargo before the items could reach their intended destination.
