United Nations special representative in Cyprus Khassim Diagne has arrived in New York and is set to brief the security council regarding the state of affairs on the island , according to reports on Wednesday.
The Cyprus News Agency reported that Diagne will first brief representatives of countries which contribute soldiers and police to the UN’s peacekeeping force in Cyprus (Unficyp), before meeting Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and undersecretary-general for peacekeeping
