
The Blue Iris gallery in Paphos on Sunday cancelled its exhibition after paintings sparked controversy for being considered offensive to Orthodox Christian symbols.
The works, created by Giorgos Gavriel, depict Christ, the Virgin Mary, and other sacred icons in ways critics call blasphemous.
