
British factories had their strongest month in a year in October but the recovery was driven by a one-off bounce from the restart of production at carmaker Jaguar Land Rover after it was hit by a cyberattack, a survey showed.
The S&P Global Purchasing Managers’ Index for Britain’s manufacturing sector climbed to 49.7 from 46.2 in September and up slightly from a provisional estimate for October of 49.6.
