A fire broke out early on Wednesday inside the loft of a shop on a main avenue in Paphos.
Police said they received a call at around 2am reporting smoke and flames from the upper section of the building. Firefighters and police officers went to the scene and confirmed that the blaze had started in the loft, which was being used as a temporary living space by a 40-year-old woman.
