Larnaca’s Hala Sultan Tekke will be closed on Tuesday to the general public to allow hundreds of pilgrims expected to make their way to the Islamic monument.
The Antiquities Department said pilgrims would be gathering at the mosque as part of celebrations for the Kurban Bayramı or Eid al-Adha, the second largest feast of Islam.
The Hala Sultan Tekke is one of the holiest places for Muslims in the world,
