Police conducted a coordinated operation in Ayia Napa on Tuesday evening aimed at combating sexual exploitation, which led to the discovery of nine cases of illegal employment.
“ Members of the Office for Combating Human Trafficking interviewed 31 individuals without any indications of victimisation ,” police said in a statement.
However, the investigation identified nine instances of illegal work, for which extrajudicial fines were issued.
