Police on Thursday announced increased security measures over the Kataklysmos (flood festival) weekend running from Saturday to Monday night.
“The measures taken include an increased presence of police, particularly officials from the traffic department on motorways, intercity roads and especially on the main roads,” the police said.
They added that “particular emphasis” would be placed on traffic offences that have been proven to contribute to fatal and serious road collisions,
