A 25-year-old Austrian national was arrested at Larnaca airport on Wednesday after 23kg of cannabis was found in his luggag e.
During a customs and police drug squad Ykan search, an initial x-ray examination showed that the passenger’s baggage may contain drugs.
A manual check that followed found 23.154kg of cannabis.
According to police, the passenger arrived in Cyprus from Thailand via the United Arab Emirates.
