Political party Edek will vote a new president on Sunday with party members set to chose between Nikos Anastasiou and Diomides Diomidous.
The two currently serve as party chiefs in the Larnaca and Limassol districts.
Polls opened at 9am and will close at 6pm in eight locations in Cyprus, Greece and the UK. All those registered as members of Edek have the right to vote.
