The electricity authority of Cyprus (EAC) announced on Tuesday the next phase in the mass installation of smart meters, targeting homes and businesses across all districts from May 27 until mid-June.
The new rollout covers several neighbourhoods in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos and the Famagusta district. The EAC confirmed that a short power interruption, lasting no more than 20 minutes, is necessary for the safe replacement of each meter.
