Probe continues into football corruption claims

Investigations are ongoing into corruption allegations against senior officials of the football association, including its current head Giorgos Koumas, the attorney-general’s office said on Monday.

The AG’s office was responding to media reports, appearing on the same day, that a criminal probe into the matter had just been finished and handed over to attorney-general George Savvides.

But the AG’s office said only that the investigation “has not been completed yet”.
