Officials from the agriculture ministry are expected to carry out onsite assessment of crop damages in Paphos on Monday, caused by severe weather over the weekend.
Hailstorms on Sunday wreaked havoc for farmers in certain mountain communities , head of the Paphos district organisation (EOA) Charalambos Pittokopitis told the Cyprus News Agency.
The most severely affected areas were Ayios Photios, Koilinia, Galataria and Amargeti, Pittokopitis said.
