A woman sought in connection with a series of sham marriages was transferred from the UK to Cyprus by the office for combating human trafficking on Wednesday.
According to police, the woman is suspected to be part of an organised criminal network operating in Cyprus between 2019 and 2020 that allegedly orchestrated sham marriages between European women and Asian men.
The charges include human trafficking, forging documents, aiding illegal entry
