Twenty children from Greece fighting cancer were given a moment of joy on Wednesday as they met President Nikos Christodoulides at the presidential palace, with a surprise promise of tickets to see their favourite basketball teams play in Athens.
The visit, organised by the Cypriot charity Ena Oniro, Mia Efxi and its Greek counterpart Floga, brought together young patients and their families for a break from hospital routines.
