Police confiscated a total of 112 fireworks found in the possession of a 30-year-old man in the Famagusta district.
Officers located the stash following a tip on Wednesday afternoon, in the context of a campaign to curb illegal use and sale of the items.
The 30-year-old was questioned, charged in writing and released, while investigations continue.
