A civil servant, who had been off work for years due to health issues, returned to work on Wednesday and assaulted his supervisor.
Paphos police are investigating malicious damage, assault and disturbance of peace against the 41-year-old civil servant.
Paphos police deputy head of operations Michalis Nicolaou said the suspect was reported to have returned to his duties at 8am on Wednesday after many years of absence for health-related reasons.
