Conservation works have officially commenced at the historic mosque and cemetery in Tochni, the UNDP said in a post on X, hailing the project as “a crucial step in preserving the cultural and historical identity of the region.”
Built in 1910, the site features a rectangular design with a pitched roof. A stone staircase, which once functioned as a minaret, remains a distinctive feature of the structure.
