A 60-year-old man was remanded on Thursday for two days in connection with the illegal possession of duty-free tobacco products.
The suspect had been stopped by police in his car “in a joint coordinated operation” of the Nicosia and Larnaca police departments in the Larnaca area on Wednesday.
An on-the-spot search of the vehicle and a village warehouse maintained by the man revealed large quantities of duty-free tobacco products.
