EU member states approved €3.5 million in emergency support for farmers in Cyprus, approving a European Commission proposal for assistance to address the impact of natural disasters since spring 2024.
The aid will have to be distributed to farmers by September 30.
The measure aims at supporting farmers who have lost production and subsequently income from natural disasters.
The amount can be complemented up to 200 per cent by national
