Snow was recorded falling on both the Troodos mountains and atop Kyparissovouno , the highest peak of the Kyrenia mountains, on Wednesday evening.
The snow came as temperatures across the island plunged on Wednesday, with below freezing temperatures forecast in the island’s mountainous areas overnight, and the mercury only set to hover around five degrees Celsius in lower ground and on the coasts.
