Architects have sounded the alarm regarding the rapid development in the scenic village of Platres, warning that the area’s historical architectural character and sensitive natural environment are being overlooked.
The architects are especially worried about renovations at Forest Park Hotel, a building steeped in Cyprus’ history. Constructed in the early 1930s, it was the first structure on the island designed in the Modernist style .
