Police on Friday reported that after a coordinated operation between local immigration services and Frontex, seven people who had been residing illegally in the Republic were forcibly repatriated.
The deportation, carried out by Greek authorities under the coordination of the European organisation, marks the sixteenth participation of Cyprus police in a joint return operation in 2024.
The total number who have been deported or repatriated this year had reached 9,420,
