Central prison inmates decried the deplorable state of the country’s main prison, in an open letter to President Nikos Christodoulides on Wednesday.
The prisoners’ rights association said the prison was marred by incidents of violence, overcrowding, poor and inadequate food provision, and the discontinuation of educational and correctional programs.
