Twenty-seven unions are holding a demonstration outside the Turkish Cypriot ‘finance ministry’ in northern Nicosia on Monday as they continue their protests against inflation.
The protest against the high cost of living will start at 1:30pm and involve unions of both public and private sectors.
“They are reacting to the government’s attempt to change the calculation of the cost of living and to interfere with the right to negotiating collectively.
