Police on Tuesday warned the public about the circulation of counterfeit banknotes worth €5, €10, €20 and €50 .
Serial numbers on the fake notes are MB6666888880 for €5 notes, MB6666888880 and PA7497803159 for €10 notes, MB66688880, UC1366259581, SD2034368912 and PMI25782181 for €20 notes, as well as MB6666888880, FG9252070821, SE1206972964 and WR6493991575 for €50 notes.
Ahead of the Christmas holidays, the public is being urged to scrutinise the euro notes
