Big gaps exist in safety awareness and drivers’ “conscience”, Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades said on Monday in response to four people dying on the road over the weekend. A re-revaluation needs to be undertaken in cooperation with the ministry of justice, the police, and social stakeholders, he said.
Authorities are bent on finding ways to boost road safety as it becomes clear that the year’s accident record has been appalling.
